Hisense Group has signed a Strategic Cooperation Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with BPI Danantara (Indonesia’s sovereign wealth fund) to deepen long-term collaboration across industrial development, technology innovation, manufacturing, and research initiatives in Indonesia.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and Hisense Group Chairman Jia Shaoqian. The agreement was signed by Cheng Gong, Chairman of Hisense Investment Development Company.
Under the MoU, the two parties will explore cooperation opportunities across advanced manufacturing, localized technology development, R&D innovation, and industrial capability building in Indonesia. The partnership will also support the establishment of a high-level technology research center focused on innovation, local talent cultivation, and strengthening Indonesia's technology ecosystem.
The agreement reflects Hisense's continued commitment to Indonesia as a key long-term market and strategic regional hub. Following the signing, both sides will establish dedicated working groups to advance specific cooperation projects aligned with Indonesia’s industrial and innovation priorities.
As part of the collaboration, Hisense plans to further expand its business footprint and investment in Indonesia, reinforcing its broader globalization strategy and long-term commitment to Southeast Asia.
Localization remains a core pillar of Hisense's global growth strategy. ASEAN plays an increasingly important role in the company's international operations and regional manufacturing network. Following the launch of its largest manufacturing facility outside China in Thailand last year, Hisense is further strengthening its presence in Indonesia through long-term industrial and innovation partnerships.
Hisense has also previously participated in Indonesia's National Education Digitalization Project, supporting digital infrastructure development and broader access to educational resources. The initiative is expected to continue under the new cooperation framework.
